Celebrate International Women’s Day!

2 March 2012

March is here at last and Oxfam would love for you to celebrate the 100th International Women’s day with them on the 8th March.

Thousands of people are hosting events for Oxfam on International Women’s Day including Lauren Laverne, Miquita Oliver and Jane Shepherdson.  Others are campaigning to stop 1000 women dying needlessly in childbirth every day.

It’s a sad fact that you’re more likely to be poor if you’re a woman. If fact more than two-thirds of people living in extreme poverty are women and girls. That’s why Oxfam puts women’s rights at the heart of everything they do so that they can give women living in poverty a more positive future.

We know there are still huge steps to be made. However on International Women’s Day it is worth remembering and celebrating the fantastic work and achievements women have accomplished.

Support the work of Oxfam with an ongoing donation from your pay.

Win £250 to spend at Flight Centre by supporting a charity from your pay! The offer is valid for every employee who signs up online to give to charity from their pay until midnight on Saturday 31st March 2012.
