Challenge Events - Classic Tours
Classic Tours has been leading the way in charity challenges since we originated the concept in 1992. Since then over 30,000 people have cycled, trekked, run, scaled mountains and even ridden horses and camels with us to all corners of the globe while taking part in a charity challenge event.
A staggering £50 million has been raised for hundreds of good causes from large national organisations to local charities and trusts. This has proved to be a new source of charity income - funds that would not otherwise have been available for their invaluable work.
For many people taking part in a Classic Tours charity challenge has been quite simply a life changing experience. We have enabled them to achieve amazing personal goals while at the same time helping those in society less fortunate.
Why not break out of your usual routine and do something different? Whether it's a long weekend cycle ride from London to Paris or an intrepid trek to the top of Kilimanjaro. We have something for everyone. On the Open Challenge events you can even choose the charity of your choice to support.
We hope you decide to take up the challenge - we're waiting to help you help others!Find out more about Classic Tours.

Fundraising & Sponsorship - Virgin Money Giving
Virgin Money Giving is a 100% not-for-profit charity fundraising website. It's the official fundraising site of the London Marathon - the biggest annual fundraising event on the planet. It's designed purely to help people raise more money online, without taking a penny in profit. This means more money goes where it's needed - directly to charity.
Whether it's running a marathon or sitting in a bath of baked beans, we know fundraisers give their all to raise money for the causes close to their hearts, and we believe only charities should profit from their hard work.
With Virgin Giving you get a fundraising page for life and keep the same web address for every event you take part in. You can create a basic page in 10 minutes then customise it and add your own content, photos and links. You can link up your page to your Facebook page. You can email friends, family and colleagues with a link to your page - they'll be able to sponsor you securely online in a couple of clicks. You can create personalised thank you messages for your sponsors and fundraise with friends or colleagues as a team.
Shopping - Give or Take
How online shopping can help your chosen charity
Give or Take was launched in 2006 to offer an ethical shopping portal to charity minded online shoppers. Give or Take acts like a virtual shopping centre with over 700 high street and big name brands such as M&S, Next, Debenhams, Play.com, and eBay. When you sign up to Give or Take you have access to all these stores, and every time you make a purchase you earn cashback on your sale. Over time as you shop more and more using your Give or Take account your cashback will grow. Every month we pool the cashback earned by members for their nominated charity and pay it to the charity direct.
For the sake of an extra click when you are buying the latest DVD or a new pair of shoes you can also be supporting your chosen charity at no extra cost to yourself. Give or Take is the free, unique and ethical way to make your online shopping help others.
Search Engine - Everyclick.com
Everyclick.com is a search engine that gives half of its revenue to charity. Its technology has been specifically created to provide an excellent search experience combined with a sustainable no cost fundraising tool for any charity.
You can search Web, UK only, Images, News and Local Classified results and you can support any one of over 200,000 UK charities. You can also support your friends' appeals with your Everyclick searches
As an individual you can sign up and select the charity you would like to benefit. Every time you use everyclick.com your searches will be used to allocate revenue to your selected charity. In all other ways it works just the same as any other search engine.
Buying or Selling - eBay for Charity
eBay for Charity makes it easy for you to support your favourite causes whilst doing what you do everyday on eBay. Simply select a charity when listing an item and choose to donate between 10-100% of your final selling price.
What are the benefits:
- Stand out from the crowd - Add credibility and visibility to your listings. All eBay for Charity items receive the charity ribbon
- Gain a following - Find new buyers, increase customer loyalty and watch your bids and sales grow
- Make your money go further - Select Gift Aid and the taxman will add 25% to your donation. eBay will also credit back your basic insertion and final value fee (equal to the percentage you donate)
- Keep it simple - You choose the charity and the % you want to give and MissionFish, eBay's charity partner we'll collect the donation and pass it on to your selected charity.
Online Shopping - Give as you Live
How can I help my favourite charity just by shopping online?
Give as you Live works with over 2,400 leading stores, including John Lewis and Amazon, that have signed up to donate a commission on every online purchase to the charity of your choice. This commission is already included in the price of what you’re buying, so you can support your favourite cause, at no extra cost to you.
It's not too good to be true.
Every popular comparison website uses a similar model. With our technology you can still get the best deals online by comparing millions of products and thousands of brands, but with Give as you Live you can also send a percentage of everything you spend to the charity of your choice. All without spending a penny more.
Online charity account – My Giving Account
My Giving Account from Charities Trust offers a user-friendly and secure online experience for managing your charitable donations.
You can schedule monthly, quarterly, six month or yearly donations, as well as the option to make one-off donations in response to sudden need, such as disaster appeals. Alternatively, you can leave money in your account to accumulate for larger gifts.
Your donation history is accessible from within the account, so that you can keep track of donations. As the account is funded via Payroll Giving, it is also the most tax effective way to give.
My Giving Account is linked to Charities Trust’s database of over 50,000 verified charities and good causes, and you can also support any UK registered charity or good cause through Charities Trust by requesting a charity to be added to our database.
Your My Giving Account also gives you the option to donate directly from your account to a Sponsor me fundraising page.
Charities Trust processes your donations and pays out to your chosen charity on your behalf, making My Giving Account a simple and cost-effective way to donate to the causes you care about.
Easy and flexible fundraising – Sponsor me
