Epilepsy Scotland
Part of Community Services, Medical, Regional Charities
Epilepsy Scotland represents the 40,000 Scots living with epilepsy, their families and their carers. We believe that people with epilepsy have the right to determine their own way of life; be free from discrimination and stigma; be valued and included within society and have access to high quality medical, social and information services.
We provide a variety of support and information services including; one to one and group support; activities for both adults and children; The Lighthouse Youth Project based in the Edinburgh area; sensitive training on issues surrounding epilepsy for distressed parents and individuals; advice and counselling; specialised clinics; a Holistic Centre; Befriending services; a community support service in both Edinburgh and Glasgow; accredited training courses to GP’s, carers and health professionals; a confidential freephone helpline and information service; a wide range of information leaflets and factsheets; an accessible interactive website and high profile policy and campaigning work.
We provide direct services for people living with epilepsy along with disseminating vital information and campaigning for further access to vital epilepsy services across the whole of Scotland. Epilepsy Scotland is Scotland’s voice for epilepsy.
With little funding your support is vital to enable us to continue our vital work for people living with epilepsy in Scotland.
