Klaudia’s special princess wish

8 January 2012

Make-A-Wish get some extra help to grant a wish with a difference.  Klaudia from Bristol is seven and living with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. She has finished two rounds of chemotherapy and has been waiting for an urgent bone marrow transplant operation. Her illness has also meant that she needs to be fed through a tube.

You can imagine that, having spent a lot of time in hospital, Klaudia was ready for something fun in her life, and she had a very specific wish. She wanted to be a princess, as many little girls do – but her wish was very specific. She loves the Disney princesses and her favourite is Cinderella, so she wanted to have a blue dress and headband and to go dancing at a Ball.

Klaudia was thrilled when a limousine arrived to take her to Totworth Court at nearby Wotton-Under-Edge and had a wonderful day, full of nice surprises such as a horse & carriage ride and afternoon tea, complete with a special cake. There was even some special singing for her and she was able to meet Prince Charming (a local resident).

So, even though she had a serious operation coming up, she, Mum Daria and her partner, Janusz, were able to forget all about hospitals and treatments for the day and enjoy seeing Klaudia having the time of her life.

Support Klaudia a children like her with an ongoing donation to Make-A-Wish from your pay.
