Action for Blind People Self Employment advisors success story

12 March 2010

Action-for-Blind-People-BrianBrian’s life changed when a tumour on his brain left him partially sighted.

Because of his illness, Brian was unable to keep the news agency that he owned afloat. He became depressed and his confidence decreased as he could no longer support his family. It was at that this point that he contacted Action for Blind People’s Self Employment Team.

One of the ways in which the team supported Brian was to provide him with financial support to purchase the access technology that he needed to help him read. Action also helped him to gain Access to Work and he now has a Support Worker.

Brian is now feeling much more confident, and has opened another news agency, near his home. Without the help of payroll donors like you,  that give , Action for Blind People would not be able to offer help to people like Brian.  Thank you.
