50% increase in Government Quality Marks for 2010

20 April 2010

Payroll_Giving_Gold_2010Despite the doom and gloom of the economic climate, Workplace Givers have bucked the trend and more and more people are giving to the charities and causes closest to their hearts, straight from their pay.

The team at Workplace Giving UK are thrilled to see a recession busting 50% increase in the number of companies they work with receiving a Government Quality Mark.

The Quality Mark is awarded to organisations that offer, and actively promote, a Workplace Giving scheme for their employees.

The increase demonstrates very clearly that when a scheme is properly and creatively promoted and it is made simple to join, those in work are seemingly happy to give a few pounds each month from their pay and, because the scheme is really tax efficient, all the donations made to charities in this way are guaranteed to go further.  A Gold Quality Mark is awarded to employers who achieve a 10% employee participation or more, Silver is for over 5% and Bronze for over 1% employee participation.

The Awards are currently being distributed through each of the employers Payroll Giving Agents; so if your scheme is administered by Charities Aid Foundation you should be receiving your certificate W/C 3rd May, Charities Trust the W/C 26th April and Charitable Giving by the end of May.

If you need assistance in increasing the uptake of the scheme in your workplace, then contact us now.  A big thank you to all
