Challenge Events - Classic Tours
Classic Tours has been leading the way in charity challenges since we originated the concept in 1992. Since then over 30,000 people have cycled, trekked, run, scaled mountains and even ridden horses and camels with us to all corners of the globe while taking part in a charity challenge event.
A staggering £50 million has been raised for hundreds of good causes from large national organisations to local charities and trusts. This has proved to be a new source of charity income - funds that would not otherwise have been available for their invaluable work.
For many people taking part in a Classic Tours charity challenge has been quite simply a life changing experience. We have enabled them to achieve amazing personal goals while at the same time helping those in society less fortunate.
Why not break out of your usual routine and do something different? Whether it's a long weekend cycle ride from London to Paris or an intrepid trek to the top of Kilimanjaro. We have something for everyone. On the Open Challenge events you can even choose the charity of your choice to support.
We hope you decide to take up the challenge - we're waiting to help you help others!

Volunteering is simple. It's about giving your time to do something useful, without getting paid (apart from expenses).
In return you get the satisfaction of time and effort well spent. In addition, volunteering can be a great way to: meet new people, learn new skills and gain useful experience. It should also be fun!
The range of opportunities is huge. Whatever skills and experience you have, there is something that you can do. The best way to see what is available is to browse on the Do-it database.
What is Do-it? Built in partnership with the Volunteer Centre network and run by the charity YouthNet, Do-it (www.do-it.org.uk) is the UK's leading volunteering website.
There are over a million opportunities to volunteer, from major charities such as the National Trust and Oxfam to local voluntary and public sector organisations. Do-it connects people, communities and organisations to inspire positive change.

Fundraising & Sponsorship - Virgin Money Giving
Virgin Money Giving is a 100% not-for-profit charity fundraising website. It's the official fundraising site of the London Marathon - the biggest annual fundraising event on the planet. It's designed purely to help people raise more money online, without taking a penny in profit. This means more money goes where it's needed - directly to charity.
Whether it's running a marathon or sitting in a bath of baked beans, we know fundraisers give their all to raise money for the causes close to their hearts, and we believe only charities should profit from their hard work.
With Virgin Giving you get a fundraising page for life and keep the same web address for every event you take part in. You can create a basic page in 10 minutes then customise it and add your own content, photos and links. You can link up your page to your Facebook page. You can email friends, family and colleagues with a link to your page - they'll be able to sponsor you securely online in a couple of clicks. You can create personalised thank you messages for your sponsors and fundraise with friends or colleagues as a team.
Shopping - Give or Take
How online shopping can help your chosen charity
Give or Take was launched in 2006 to offer an ethical shopping portal to charity minded online shoppers. Give or Take acts like a virtual shopping centre with over 700 high street and big name brands such as M&S, Next, Debenhams, Play.com, and eBay. When you sign up to Give or Take you have access to all these stores, and every time you make a purchase you earn cashback on your sale. Over time as you shop more and more using your Give or Take account your cashback will grow. Every month we pool the cashback earned by members for their nominated charity and pay it to the charity direct.
For the sake of an extra click when you are buying the latest DVD or a new pair of shoes you can also be supporting your chosen charity at no extra cost to yourself. Give or Take is the free, unique and ethical way to make your online shopping help others.
Search Engine - Everyclick.com
Everyclick.com is a search engine that gives half of its revenue to charity. Its technology has been specifically created to provide an excellent search experience combined with a sustainable no cost fundraising tool for any charity.
You can search Web, UK only, Images, News and Local Classified results and you can support any one of over 200,000 UK charities. You can also support your friends' appeals with your Everyclick searches
As an individual you can sign up and select the charity you would like to benefit. Every time you use everyclick.com your searches will be used to allocate revenue to your selected charity. In all other ways it works just the same as any other search engine.
