Tenovus aims to help prevent, treat and find a cure for cancer.  One in three of us will get cancer.  It is something that affects us all.  With rates of cancer in Wales 19% higher than in England, Tenovus is working at the heart of communities in Wales to deliver support, advice and treatment for cancer patients close to their homes.

We also fund research into cancer prevention and treatment, in fact it was Tenovus that founded Tamoxifen – the breast cancer drug used throughout the world.

In February 2009, Tenovus launched its mobile cancer support unit- the first of its kind in the world.  From this, the charity can deliver support and chemotherapy to communities in South Wales.  In the future, Tenovus plans to extend this service to other areas of the UK.
