RSPB
Part of Animal Welfare, Environmental
Our work is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a responsibility to protect birds and the environment. Bird populations reflect the health of the planet on which our future depends.
The need for an effective bird conservation organisation has never been greater. Climate change, agricultural intensification, expansion of urban areas and transport infrastructure, and over-exploitation of our seas all pose major threats to birds. The RSPB has a UK Headquarters, three national offices, nine regional offices and have over one million members.
England - From ancient woodlands and lowland heaths, to estuaries and rugged coasts, England is rich in wildlife habitats and special birds from stone-curlews and bitterns, to cirl buntings and marsh harriers.
Northern Ireland – The RSPB is extremely active in Northern Ireland. We do everything with a passion, inspired by the knowledge that Northern Ireland is special and its rivers, lakes, bogs, mountains and meadows are unique. We want to protect our wonderful wildlife for future generations to enjoy
Scotland - Scotland is amazing for wildlife. The variety of species and habitats is outstanding – from golden eagles to otters, red squirrels to wintering geese and huge seabird colonies – all set among rugged mountains, moorland, ancient Caledonian pine forests and miles of coastline.
Wales – Wales has a wonderful variety of habitats and wildlife, offering many opportunities for people to enjoy the benefits of fresh air and the countryside.
The RSPB could not exist without its supporters and members, why not make a regular donation straight from your pay.
