What would you lose from your life if you lost your sight?  Close your eyes and imagine for a moment.  Makes you think doesn’t it?  When you lose your sight you can lose more than just the ability to see. It can feel like your world is falling apart.

Two million people in the UK have significant sight loss. Right now RNIB can only reach one in three people who need our help. We need your help to reach them all.

Trevor, 67, battled with depression when suddenly lost his sight until his partner suggested that he contact RNIB.

“If I hadn’t made that one call I don’t know where I’d be. It’s like throwing a stone in a lake, the ripples…everything that happened came from that call to RNIB.”

Impact of your donation

£5 per month pays for letters, music and novels to be turned into spoken word and Braille, so that blind and partially sighted people can read their own mail, sing in the choir or simply curl up with a good book.

£8 per month provides one-to-one support and advice from our Helpline, helping people to find their lives again after sight loss.

£20 per month funds practical training and information for people to get the skills and confidence they need to stay at work. Losing your sight shouldn’t mean losing your job.
