We are the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Every day, thousands of children experience abuse and neglect and suffer in silence. The NSPCC’s services are working throughout the UK to put a stop to this.

Our treatment and therapeutic services provide the opportunity for the most vulnerable and isolated children to heal the psychological and emotional harm caused by abuse.

We run ChildLine, the free 24-hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Everyday trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise and protect around 2,500 children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. In 2008 we opened two new ChildLine centres so we can answer even more calls from children desperate for someone to talk to.

The NSPCC Helpline is the only free and confidential way for the public to take action to protect a child. In just one year the NSPCC Helpline answers over 76,000 calls from adults worried for a child’s safety.

We rely on the generous donations of our supporters to keep these vital services running. The NSPCC services help many thousands of children every year and regular gifts like those made through Workplace Giving mean we can continue to plan for the future.

Please start a gift through your salary today and help us be there for more children who desperately need us.
