Lifelines on Call
Part of Community Services, Consortiums
Lifelines on Call was formed to make your donations go further – to save, support and rescue those in distress. Every day the The Fire Fighters Charity, Samaritans and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) make a difference to someone’s life. They are always there, on call 24 hours a day.
Every year, thousands of fire fighters are injured whilst protecting the public. Every 30 seconds in the UK, fire fighters are called to an incident, putting their lives on the line, and often sustaining physical injuries whilst carrying out their duties.
Samaritans provides confidential non-judgemental emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair. By working together with the shared desire to help people experiencing emotional distress, our 17,000 volunteers make sure that our 202 branches are well-organised and supportive places to spend time.
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea around the UK and ROI.
Our volunteer crews give up their time and comfort to carry out rescues in difficult and often dangerous conditions. Last year RNLI lifeboats rescued 21 peopleĀ a day on average. RNLI lifeguards assistedĀ almost 10,000 people last year.
