Every moment is precious. That is why every year hospices help over 100,000 children and adults living with life-limiting and terminal illnesses – adding life to days even when days cannot be added to lives.

Help the Hospices is the leading charity supporting hospice care throughout the UK. We are here to represent and support over 185 hospices, providing a wide range of services to help them care for patients and their family and friends.

Hospices care for people with terminal and life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, MS and chronic heart disease. Hospice care can be provided at home, in the hospice and in the community and includes pain relief, treating symptoms and a wide range of specialised care from art therapy to massage – all aimed at helping patients live life to the full for whatever time they have.

Hospice care is free but with less than a third of the funds needed provided by the government, each hospice has to raise £5,500 per day just to keep running meaning that the support of the public and companies is so important.
