In the UK alone, there are two million people living with visual impairment.  Each day about 100 people start to lose their sight.  Fight for Sight funds world-class research into the prevention and treatment of blindness and eye disease.  The charity is the largest in the UK dedicated to funding eye research.

We are determined to help in the fight against macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, trachoma and childhood blindness. Fight for Sight relies entirely on voluntary donations and support, so it is only thanks to people like you that important research can continue to go ahead.

Just some of our most important achievements thanks to our supporters include:

•  Saving the sight of thousands of premature babies as a result of research into levels of oxygen delivery

•  Restoring sight by establishing the UK Corneal Transplant Service, enabling over 45,000 corneal transplants

to take place

•  Bringing hope to children with inherited eye disease by helping fund the team responsible for the world’s

first gene therapy clinical trial

Your support will help to ensure that vital work like this can continue.
