Crusaid is a grant making charity that supports poor and marginalised people affected by HIV and AIDS in the UK and Internationally. Crusaid aims to relieve the poverty caused by HIV and AIDS, improve the health of people living with HIV and educate young people about the risks of the illness.

Today, antiretroviral therapy can treat the symptoms of HIV but issues surrounding poverty, stigma and discrimination, difficulties in working and accessing support services remain.

Funding will allow Crusaid to support the 80,000 people living with HIV in the UK through financial assistance, help through effective advocacy and referral support. The average income for people seeking support from Crusaid is just over £52 per week and funding will be used to help people pay for fuel costs, utility bills, food, clothing, child care costs, education and training.

The Crusaid Hardship Fund has supported one in three people diagnosed with HIV in the UK and provided over 45,000 financial grants to those in need.

Crusaid focuses its international work on Southern Africa. Donations through Workplace Giving will allow Crusaid to provide long term solutions for communities affected by HIV and poverty. Funding will enable Crusaid to develop unique initiatives, offer services and solutions for impoverished communities affected by HIV and create a platform for change for entire communities– offering hope for a better future.
